Abstract/Summary
Level 1 photographic survey undertaken on the barn conversion into storage area and garden room. The survey revealed the barn had undergone a re-configuration from its original layout, as seen on an OS map of 1850, during the latter half of the 19th century. The barn was most likely used for animal husbandry and was originally part of the curtilage of the adjacent mid-18th – 19th century Grade II Listed Model Farm complex.
The building recording exercise also documented material associated with the sculptor Austin Wright when he used the barn as a studio during the latter half of the 20th century.
