Find Spot: MYO266 Roman stone sarcophagus (Find Spot)Mechanical digging in 1959 cut through an oak lining to a trench/ grave into which a lead coffin had been inserted. Lid was ornamented with four St Andrew's crosses. A few small fragments of bone and gypsum were apparently fro the coffin.
