Full Description

A Roman mosaic pavement discovered behind Acomb House, Front Street, Acomb. No detailed record exists. NB 99 Front St was once called Acomb House.

SMR Record Card SE55SE23.pdf describes "A fine Roman pavement at Acomb, some fragments of which are in the Yorkshire Museum (ref Yorkshire Museum Handbook, 1881, 83 (C Wellbeloved)). [No Source record allocated as at 16/01/2018]
