Description

This SAM designation covers York City Walls with the exception of the section between Bootham Bar and Monk Bar. The Bootham Bar to Monk Bar section of walls forms part of the SAM York Minster Precinct (DYO 1594). This record is one of the oldest designation records so there is little designation information held electronically, unlike the recent designation records. Former SAM no YO30
